Rose

There’s a rose outside my window
so red, so red

glowing through the hazy glasspanes
so red, so red

drawn by pulsating blood in those petals
murky caterpillars are inching closer

the lights are out and there’s no moon
the rose still glows outside my window
so red, so red…

for miles the terrain is bathed in red
deep red, blood red

from the foot of my bed
to the worms outside
flows blood, my blood

the petals dried , the rose has died
deep red, putrid red

I’m so red, I’m dripping red
yet see my veins are throbbing blue

I see the cloak that death wears
It comes in a deep, drained blue

A red lined with a choking blue..

There’s the rose outside my window
So dead, so dead.

Lemon Grass

Lemon grass scented days
memories keep playing
games with me,
more reveries,….
of one sweet day
when we walked down that lane
just you and me

The evening sun
Hidden in the rain clouds
and that soft little breeze
flipping my hair to your face

and love was my present tense
you, my sun,…
when we walked down that lane
just you and I

Green was the day
and green was my heart
got swept away
by your eyes, your voice

Yellow flowers paved our path
and my heart, a butterfly
A paradise of Lemongrass
In your eyes,
My dreams, of being in your arms
for every morning’s dew
and every cloud of dusk
Every bit of me, in love
Madly, totally, drunkenly

Though you did not take me,
touch me nor kiss me,
your eyes told me to dream
and dream I did,
of walking down the lane of life
with you to the end of time
Of Love as my future tense
And you, my destiny,
after we walked down that lane
and I said I love you,
and you said ‘goodbye’.
